<ul><li>Successful completion of a Diploma in a cognate discipline in Engineering or</li><li>Successful completion of a Advanced Diploma in a cognate discipline in Engineering or</li><li>Successful completion of a Certificate III in a cognate discipline in Engineering</li></ul><ul><li>Students with a cognate Cert IV in Engineering may need to complete pathway mathematics unit 'Introduction to Technical Maths' from the Federation University Foundation Access Studies (FAST) course.</li></ul>

Applicants are required to have met the minimum academic requirements: <ul><li>Successful completion of Australian Year 12, or overseas equivalent.</li></ul><ul><li>Equivalent of Units 3 and 4: A study score of at least 20 in any English</li><li>Equivalent of Units 3 and 4: A study score of at least 20 in Maths: Mathematical Methods or Units 3 and 4: A study score of at least 20 in Maths: Specialist Mathematics</li></ul>
