<p>This unit equips students with the foundational knowledge to articulate and apply principles of machine design and analysis. It fosters an integrated understanding of environmental, social, organisational, and economic considerations within engineering design, with a particular emphasis on sustainable development. Students are introduced to methodologies for product and component design, alongside analytical techniques employing computer algebra systems and contemporary CAD tools.</p>
