<p>The aim of this unit is to enhance a student's ability to assimilate theory and research from a particular topic area; to develop a student's capacity to see the area in its wider academic and social context; improve a student's ability to evaluate the contribution of psychological theory and research to the broad understanding of the issue or behaviour in question; to reflect upon the nature and purpose of literature reviews in psychology; and to further develop writing skills.</p>

1. Seminars on the research process, including literature searching, defining a review topic, and a writing review.<br>
2. Peer and staff feedback to assist in the development of the review topic.<br>
3. Individual feedback session on a draft of the review.</p>

Unit description
