The research thesis is completed under the supervision of an academic staff member from the relevant discipline area. <p>This unit provides the candidate an opportunity to draw upon themes arising through the coursework elements of this program and to pursue a particular problem or question for research. <p>If undertaking HN9.WH Master of Health (Workplace Health and Safety), HN9.RP Master of Health (Research Practice), HN9.PIM Master of Health (Perinatal and Infant Mental Health), HN9.NR Master of Health (Advanced Nursing), HN9.NC Master of Health (Neonatal Care), HN9.MH Master of Health (Mental Health Nursing), HN9.HSM Master of Health (Health Services Management), HN9.HM Master of Health (Health Services Management and Leadership), HN9.HL Master of Health (Health Leadership), HN9.CFH Master of Health (Child and Family Health Nursing) THEN the student must have achieved at least 180 credit points prior to enrolment OR if undertaking HP9 Master of Public Health THEN the student must have achieved at least 120 credit points prior to enrolment</p>

<p>Under the guidance and approval of an academic supervisor the student will develop, revise and submit a thesis for examination - by two examiners who do not supervise the student - that embodies a substantial piece of competent research of a standard that would be publishable in a reputable academic journal or comparable publication. </p>
<p>Final Thesis </p><p>NB: In order to demonstrate depth of inquiry at Masters or Honours level the Final Thesis will normally be 12,000 - 15,000 words in length.</p>
